I just finished listing to the Mayor’s Minute. It’s actually longer than a minute but worth listening to if you have the time. There is important info for our local area.

Here are a few snippets:

Trunk Road extension may be delayed by a year because of a needed wetlands permit

South Big Lake Road project may also be delayed because DOT wants a 4 lane right of way

The Rail Road Spur from Houston to Point Mackenzie is under construction in one segment with other segments to be started soon

More money has been directed to the Government Hill Recreation Area

There are quite a few other items in the podcast but those are the highlights. The assembly is an important body in our borough and worth watching. They meet every Tuesday night at 6PM. The meetings often go to midnight. You can find agenda’s for future meetings here.
