Mat-Su College is a hub for ideas, education and recreation. Since 1958 (back then it was called Palmer Community College) it has been transforming ideas into realities, today it serves over 2,000 students per semester and continues to expand. Mat-Su College sits on 950 acres of premium land, and is home to Biking in the summer and Cross Country Skiing in the winter.
At Mat-Su College, students and teachers express and exchange ideas. All cultures and ways of thinking are respected and appreciated; collaborative learning and community engagement are always part of the classroom. It is a place where honesty, integrity, fairness and mutual respect flourish.
Mat-Su College is dedicated to providing higher education at an affordable cost. The class sizes are 16 students to 1 teacher, allowing students to have a one-on–one experience with their professors. The school is accredited and affiliated with the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Mat-Su College is growing. It is expanding its paramedical facility in 2012 and will be home to a theater by 2014. Mat-Su College is a gem, of ideas, education, and recreation; representing the best in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley.
