It was a great evening for a drive, the traffic wasn’t bad, I had some good tunes and the sun was out…although it was a little hazy from forest fire smoke or something.
When I got there I decided to try the steep driveway in my little PT Cruiser and made it to the top.
I was able to find the glacier view from the property…see photo at the top. With some select clearing the view would be fantastic.
I chased up a few bunnies, saw moose trails all over the property and just enjoyed a glorious Alaskan summer evening. The lupine were still in bloom, I checked for blueberries and did notice quite a few bushes but of course it’s about a month early for picking.
On the way back I spotted some moose munching on willows beside the highway and noticed several anglers still canoeing in Long Lake after 10PM.
This photo of Granite Peak was taken at 10:45 PM.
It’s not much for quality but I just had to stop and snap a photo with my phone because it was just a calm, warm, quiet evening and still light at 10:45 PM.
You can’t beat Alaska in the summer.
Oh Yeah!…the lot is for sale. $72,000 for 4.73 acres with a steep driveway that is doable with a PT Cruiser on a good day. You can’t buy many lots like this anywhere in the world. It would be a great investment to just hold for later. I’d rather bet on this lot than the stock market! If you want to find out more here is the MLS listing info.
