It’s Spring, Real Estate Is Warming Up In The Valley! April 20th, 2012
The house to the left is a good example of the level of real estate activity in the valley right now. This house was under contract with a buyer who suddenly had a change in his life which made him unqualified for the loan. This was very disappointing to the owner because he was planning to purchase another house based on this sale. Now he had lost important marketing time. We put the house back on the market on Tuesday and had three showings on Wednesday. Two other buyers had lined up appointments for Thursday and Friday but one of the Wednesday buyers had already bought it.The weekend of the 27-29 of April will be the Spring Preview of Homes by the Mat-Su Home Builders Association.. There will also be a home show at the Menard Center at the same time. I expect a real good turn-out. We will be showing the home to the right by Pacific North Construction. This is a beautiful 1900 square foot ranch with a 3 car garage. It should be just finished by next weekend. Check it out. This house is only $278,900.
Vote Today For Bryan Scoresby and Marvin Yoder For MEA April 9th, 2012
You should have received your ballot for the Matanuska Electric Association board election. It looks like the picture on the left. If so, you have no reason not to vote. This is a very important election and if you like electricity, you should vote. The next few years for MEA are extremely important. We are in the middle of a project to produce our own electricily using some huge internal combustion engines. These are traditional internal combustion engines like you have in your car, only they are monster sized. They will hopefully run off of natural gas and produce enough power so that we all will see the light when we flip the switch.
I’m not qualified to make judgments about the wisdom of using this type of a system for our primary power supply but I know a couple people who are and they happen to be running for the board. Please vote for Marvin Yoder and Bryan Scoresby. They are competent, qualified leaders who will look out for our best interests.
So don’t hesitate, take out that ballot and vote today.
Mr. Moose And His Bunny Buddy April 6th, 2012
You never know who will become buddies in the animal world. This moose survived the winter by hanging around close to the goats and chickens. There were lots of willows around the house and he would steal a little hay until the homeowner began to cover it to keep him out. He still hung around…maybe because he had found a new friend.
This rabbit would snuggle up to him to get some warmth during the cold nights and the moose often licked the rabbit all over. The rabbit apparently liked it because it just sat there and took the licking.
In this video the bunny is stealing a little bit of the moose’s cud and helping him finish his meal.
Does anyone else have an interesting animal buddy story?
